What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. Because they are strictly necessary, we do not need to obtain your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Authenticates your session and keeps you signed in. | Session cookie deleted on browser close; refresh token persists up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| tbms_tenant_id | Remembers which organisation workspace you are using in a multi-tenant environment. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
Analytics cookies
We use PostHog to understand how you use VectorLingo and to improve our product. Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner. If you decline or do not respond, no analytics cookies are stored on your device.
PostHog is hosted on EU servers (PostHog Cloud EU) and processes data in compliance with GDPR. We have configured PostHog to drop IP addresses so that your IP is not stored.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_*_posthog | Identifies your browser across sessions for product analytics (e.g. which features you use, page views). | 1 year | Analytics (consent required) |
What data is collected
- Pages visited and features used within the platform
- How long you spend on different sections
- Anonymised interaction patterns (button clicks, form submissions)
- Browser type, screen size, and operating system
We do not collect: financial data, document contents, translation content, passwords, or payment details through analytics.
Session replay
For our internal project management portal, we use PostHog session replay to understand how our team uses the platform. Session replay is not active on the Client Portal or Vendor Portal. When active, all text inputs are masked and sensitive sections (financial data, credentials) are blocked from recording.
Your choices
When you first visit VectorLingo, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time:
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Visit allaboutcookies.org for instructions on managing cookies in your browser.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using VectorLingo, as they are required for authentication and core functionality.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we change how we use cookies. If we introduce new categories of non-essential cookies, we will notify you and obtain your consent before setting them.
For more information about how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
